On March 9th, 2024 Verisign is performing system maintenance to further improve the .COM and .NET registry system.

In order to successfully complete the maintenance there will be a 4 hour maintenance window from 5PM PT on March 9th to 545pm PT on March 9th . During this time, certain Registrant transactions will be intermittently impacted. This maintenance only pertains to .COM and .NET domains. No other domain extensions are affected.

Please note that all .COM and .NET domain names will continue to function normally throughout the maintenance period. The maintenance being performed only affects the ability to perform updates to information or functionality of .COM and .NET domains. The following transactions will be impacted during the service maintenance:

• You will not be able to submit new .COM or .NET domain registrations.
• You will not be able to update or renew existing .COM or .NET domain names.

This is a notice to inform you that upgrades to our website hosting infrastructure will be performed during the following maintenance window:

Start: 9:00 PM PT Thursday, Dec 14th (12:00 AM Dec 15th ET)

End: 9:15 PM PT Thursday, Dec 14th (12:30 AM Dec 15th ET)

Status: During this maintenance window, websites will be offline for a total of approximately 15 minutes.

This maintenance is in accordance with our policy to ensure the continued reliability of Webnames.ca’s systems.

System maintenance is scheduled for Monday, July 25th, between 4:00 PM PT and 4:15 PM PT. The maintenance is expected to take approximately 15 minutes, during which our connections to all domain registries will be impacted.

For greater certainty, only domain registry changes will be affected – the continued functionality and operation of registered domain names themselves will not be impacted in any way.

The maintenance is expected to take approximately one hour, during which DNS updates will not take effect. For any DNS updates that are attempted during the maintenance window, we will reapply any that were submitted during the window by customers like you.

For greater certainty, only DNS updates will be affected – DNS services themselves and DNS resolution will not be impacted in any way.

1:15 PM PT: Please note that we are aware that connections to the .ORG registry pertaining to registrations, renewals, transfers and name server updates have been disrupted.

We are currently working with the .ORG registry to diagnose and resolve this issue.

1:00 PM PT: All telephony services have been restored. Apologies to everyone for the disruption when trying to reach us earlier.

Please note that we are currently moving our phone services to a new provider and platform. As part of this move, an unscheduled disruption has occurred. We are working to restore services as soon as possible. In the meantime, both chat and email support continue to be available.

4:45 PM PT: Issues and the .CA Registry have been resolved and services are fully restored.

We are aware of a technical issue at the .CA registry which began at approximately 3:00 PM PT, which affects the lookup, registration, renewals, transfers and name server updates of all .CA domain names.

This issue has been escalated and confirmed by the .CA registry and they are working to diagnose and resolve this issue as soon as possible.
